A prepaid credit card is the perfect way to buy online and protect your private data. The internet has surely opened the world to consumers, and consumers are happily consuming more than ever before. They’re spending incredible amounts of money online, at sites that didn’t even exist ten years ago. Whether for everyday needs, seasonal items, or Christmas shopping, online shopping requires a credit card. That prevents some people with perfect credit from shopping online, although they wish they could.

Many people worry about surrendering their credit card number and personal data online. Unless you’ve been in a cave on the dark side of the moon, you’ve heard the horror stories told about thieves who steal identities to pursue a reckless, free-spending lifestyle—with your good credit. A prepaid credit card can prevent the latter and assuage the former.

Here’s how a prepaid credit card works. You buy one at a store. When you buy the card, you deposit an extra amount that becomes your available balance. Use the card as you would any credit card–online or in town. Online, it’ll protect you from having to surrender your financial data, but you’ll still be able to shop. In town, you’ll know that your platinum credit card account number and expiration date aren’t waiting in the trash to be found by a dumpster diver.

When you deplete your balance, just add more cash at any affiliated store, not only where you originally bought it. Recharge and deplete. Repeat. Rinse the opportunity for thieves to steal your identity thoroughly.

A prepaid credit card is also a safe way to join a subscription site. You have the option of disposing of the card if you feel it has been compromised. A prepaid credit card can be a nice barrier between you and a big problem so get one before the bad guys get you.

How to Save When Buying a Computer

Buying a new computer can be a fairly major purchase depending on whether you’re buying a desktop or a laptop, what extras you’re looking for, and what brand you buy. Because of this, you’ll want to save as much money as possible. Here are some tips for saving money on your next computer purchase.

Don’t Buy the Newest Model

When a newer model of computer is introduced, the model it’s replacing will go on sale to get rid of the stock left in the store so there is room for the newest model. This older model might not be quite as fast or have the same features as the newest model, but it will still be a good computer and will likely have the features that are needed for what you need it to do.

Compare Prices

Make sure before you choose your model of computer that you compare prices. When comparing, make sure it’s an apple to apple comparison, which means the computers are both desktops or both laptops and that they have comparable features (hard drive space, RAM, processor speed, and extras). Also compare the quality of the hardware found within the computer to make sure it’s by a reputable company.

Use Coupons

When purchasing a computer, it’s possible to find coupons that can help save you money. Some of these coupons can be found online, such as with Dell coupons, that can be applied at checkout. You might also find discounts through your work if your company has made a deal with computer manufacturers, so be sure to ask before you make your purchase. These coupons and discounts will typically mean a percentage off your final purchase.

These tips are sure to save you money, but make sure you know what you need before you buy. If you’re only using your computer for basic functions, don’t buy more than a basic model.

The Weirdness of Computer Terms

To the utter computer neophyte, or the person just learning English, computer terms are pretty weird. Why do I want a rodent on my desk? Why not call it a clicker instead of a mouse?

If I go to the computer store to buy a computer, they are going to ask me how much memory I need. My memory is good, thank you. I know all my kids’ birthdays and anniversaries, and I can remember my grandchildren’s names. That’s pretty darn good for my age! I get email, but what is exchange hosting? Something tells me it has nothing to do with having a foreign student come and live with me!

Why do computers have bytes? Maybe they are taking a byte out of crime. Maybe they take a byte out of Internet crime. It would be really cool if they could take a megabyte out of crime! What is a driver? Is there a little car in there? If I’m the computer user, why am I not the driver? Or the pilot? No, I’m the user. Well, I have to admit I’ve heard that computers get addictive at times. So does voyeurism, another name for looking into Windows. But that’s illegal.

Now, you’re going to ask me if I want PC or Mac. I don’t know! Who’s Mac? Who’s on first base? How do I know if there are Ethernet connections at my house? Does the Ethernet make me sleepy? I understand Internet because I once had to learn roots like inter in my English class, but to me a website is the place where Charlotte put up messages to save the pig! Speaking of Charlotte and pigs, what’s with a RAM? How many more animals do I need in this little box? I wasn’t planning to start a farm.

There’s no doubt about it. Jobs in the healthcare field are growing at a steady rate. There’s an ever increasing need for qualified doctors and nurses. With the need for exceptional healthcare professionals rising on a daily basis, many hospitals are finding it difficult to keep their places staffed with the best of the best in the field. That’s where nursing travel jobs come into play. Nurses who are looking for an opportunity to work with fantastic pay choose travel jobs. Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why you should choose a travel job as a nurse.

1. Travel to new and exciting places. If you are a nurse, and you love to travel, this is a win-win! Travel nurses often go to exciting cities and destinations that they may not have had the opportunity to travel to in the past. You stay for a few months in a new city, and then move on to another adventure. It’s a very exciting career for someone who likes to see the world . . . while taking care of the world’s ill.

2. Make the big bucks. Becoming a travel nurse is also a very lucrative opportunity. Most travel nurses make up to 15% more than a traditional nurse. Add in bonus, benefits, and incentives, and you’ve got one incredible opportunity.

3. Build your resume. Travel nurses often have the opportunity to work in some of the most prestigious hospitals. You can work in a place where you’ve only dreamed of. You’ll have the opportunity to experience different environments in different locations, giving you the opportunity to reach your potential and expand your knowledge.

Travel nurses are the wave of the future. Experience a true sense of freedom, independence, and growth when you become a travel nurse. There are agencies around the country willing and ready to help you find the job of your dreams!

Paris has many fine dining restaurants, so many how could any one choose just one. The Jules Verne, located in the Eiffel Tower makes an earnest case to be that one restaurant. The view of the city is remarkable, a private elevator, and a winning wine list, are three features that make the Jules Verne an excellent choice for a special occasion or romantic meal. And considering it is the only restaurant like it in the world it’s uniqueness is enhanced.

The second we passed through the entrance and were greeted by the first Mater-die until returning in the private elevator after looking at the panorama of Paris everything about the experience was polished, honed, and preformed artfully. Remember thought to bring the bank as the prices match the luxury, lunch for two with wine was $320. However, the fixed price menu included 3 courses, plus everything that came to table. Pay the extra for fixed price if possible, it is worth it.

In keeping with French tradition, when dining, on haute cuisine the meal includes, in the fixed price menu, a few extras to taste between courses: small break sticks, a small side dish, 2 breads, a second desert assortment , and bottled water. This afternoon feast will leave any diner filled, and their palette pleased. The restaurant is Michelin rated, and the concept is remarkable. It was a unique experience made even more pleasant by a friendly wait staff and very good cuisine.

The ancient city of Pompeii , destroyed and completely buried during a catastrophic eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius spanning for two days in 79 AD, is once again under danger. But this time it is no volcanic threat, for the most popular tourist attractions of Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has fallen into such disrepair that the Italian government has declared a ‘state of emergency’ to save the ruins. The accidental rediscovery and excavation of Pompeii in 1748 after nearly 1700 years after its burial has provided an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of a city at the height of the Roman Empire. Extra funding to save this historical heritage has been earmarked as an immediate step by the surveying commissioner, which had earlier been neglected. The ruins from a long time have been suffering from lack of investment, mismanagement, litter and looting. Giving evidence of mismanagement, Antonio Irlando, a regional councilor responsible for artistic heritage, revealed that every year at least 150 sq m (1,600 sq ft) of fresco and plasterwork are lost for lack of maintenance, while at least 3,000 pieces of stones every year end up disintegrating. This ‘state of emergency’ will last for a year until some valid preservation actions are taken into force and one of the world’s most historic and precious heritage is saved from evaporating.

Ruins of an ancient temple dating back to the reign of pharaoh Ramses II (1250 B.C.) have been discovered inside a mosque in Egypt. The discovery was made during the restoration work of the mosque which was erected as a shrine to Muslim saint Abul Haggag in the 13th century A.D. and was damaged partly in June.

Related facts:

The well preserved ruins made the archaeologists conclude that during the construction process of Christians and Muslims shrines on top of Egyptian holy sites, builders spoiled the ancient artwork in the temples but the few of them remained almost untouched. The reliefs are thought to depict the temple’s dedication.

The carved inscriptions on the reliefs provide best examples of enigmatic writing which was an unusual form of hieroglyphic text in which each glyph could stand for an entire word, phrase or concept.

It is said that the discovery is likely to touch a nerve among religious leaders because the newly exposed reliefs hold representations of humans and animals, which are forbidden inside mosques. Removing the ancient features completely would cause damage to the mosque. The team of researchers is baffled as to how they should proceed further in this case. To proceed further in, the team is in talks with mosque leaders and it is anticipated that they would reach a compromise getting the best way out so that none of the monuments of antiquity are deeply affected.

The Kielder Water’s art and architecture museum is located in the most tranquil place in the world. The landscape seen from this particular place in England is a very rare one. So, the Kielder Water reservoir and the museum located in Northumberland is worth a visit.

The reservoir was created to serve the heavy industry in the Teeside. The author of the Telegraph Nigel Richardson writes about his experience awesome experience in and around the museum. Read on! As Nigel says, this area is thrillingly remote and very man made. Nevertheless, it’s attracting tourists.

The Kielder Forest park has plenty of activities for the tourists visiting this area. You name it, they have it. Birdwatching, cycling, hiking, fishing are just a few of them. If you are a history buff, there’s plenty of historic stuff for you as well. The 27 mile shoreline is the largest man made lake in Northern Europe.

The dam at Kielder is about 170 feet high. If you are up for it, you can check out several man made installations along the damn just by cycling, driving or even hiking. The mode of transportation obviously depends on the route that you take. Motorized access is usually prohibited in this area. Leapish is the most popular part of the lake area. Eventually it will accommodate several log cabins and even some luxuries in the wilderness!

As of now, about 16000 visitors spend the night in the Kielder valley. Folks who are in charge of rebuilding the site plan on increasing this number to a whopping 86000.
The new observatory light will be a guide to the visitors. Visitors to Kielder can crash for the night at an Inn. There are only a handful options to choose from. Local pubs and restaurants are pretty friendly as well. I hope you can check out the awesome scenery from Kielder valley during your next vacation .

In Gibraltar, about 30000 people are British. The rock of Gibraltar that lies in Mediterranean holds it’s allegiance to the English. In this part of the world, Britain owns more than just a piece of strategically placed rock.

Although located in Southern Spain, Gibraltar is actually a British colony. Only a few traces of Spanish culture and heritage can be found in Gibraltar. Mostly English culture and language dominate this part of the world. The problem in this place is that same old Enlish correctness.

The local Gibraltarian economy switched from military to tourism. I think this is a great switch. At least Gibraltarians will learn to love and not fight. Well, what’s there to do and to see in this island nation? Here’s a sneak peak of the area. Just make sure you avoid the mid day traffic rush on ‘Main street’.

Just hire a taxi and the driver will do a decent job of showing you around the rock. It will cost you $12 and use up 90 minutes of your time. The Gibraltar rock has a summit. It uses a gondola to lift up the visitors to the top for the spectacular views all around. It will give you an idea of how old England was. Come on over and check this out for yourself.
