From Easter 2007, you can get up close and personal to gorillas at London Zoo’s brand new attraction Gorilla Kingdom, which is a home to colony of western lowland gorillas. Gorilla Kingdom consists of a large open island, surrounded by a moat, an indoor gym and a back den. There will be three western lowland gorillas in the enclosure. A 23-year-old male, Bobby Two females Zaire, 32 and Effie,13. Location: North-east corner of Regent’s Park on the Outer Circle. Timing: The London Zoo is open every day except Christmas Day. It opens at 10 am and closing time vary according to the season (until 4pm in winter and 5:30pm in summer). There are concession tickets for students aged 16 years and over, seniors over 60 years old disabled. Children 2 and younger are free and do not require a ticket. Gorilla Kingdom is due to open on Friday 30 March 2007. So, be engrossed in a rainforest environment with no bars and meet a group of Western lowland gorillas in an amazing walk through experience.
