This city has so much to offer that it’s very difficult to sum up all of that in just one paragraph. Lavender and Love in its fragrant air of Sunlit vineyards and Sun-baked beaches, Majestic chateaux’s and beautiful gardens, unofficially crowned the fashion and food capital of the world it boasts chic boulevards of Paris and a cutting-edge cuisine.
All these laurels have helped it retain the title as the world’s top tourist destination in 2006, attracting seventy eight million visitors. France has the euro zone’s second biggest economy and this meant an increase of 2.5% in tourism revenue, for an industry that employs two million people directly or indirectly.
Numerous visitors arrived from Europe itself. Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and east European countries contributed to a 2.7 percent increase in the number of tourists compared with 2005. Chinese tourists are also flocking to France in growing numbers, with 600,000 visiting the country last year.
So when are you planning to visit this beautiful country?
