None of us likes fights and want peace around. Right? But you’ll be surprised to know that there are people around the world who love to indulge themselves in a fight. Every year a small town of Ivrea is transformed into an unlikely battlefield. People from each district form an army to attack its neighbor with a single deadly weapon. And you’ll be even more surprised to know that weapon used in this battle is the orange!
Well-known as the Battle of Oranges, this is the most enjoyable of all food fights in fact it’s the mother of all food fights. More than 400 tons of oranges are used as missiles and the whole population of Ivrea is orange at the end of it.
Word of warning: The battle of oranges is not for faint-hearted. You’re advised to either give as good as they prepare for a battle or avoid becoming part of this orange squash retreat.
Believe me, if you enjoyed food fights when you were a child then you are going to love being part of this fight of oranges.
